I had 7 boys, all in 6th grade, come in while I was working. They wanted to order wings and asked if they had enough money to pay for 40 wings and sodas. I looked around, confused, wondering where their parents were.
I asked if they were alone, and they said yes. They told me they’d been looking forward to this for weeks! They were so excited and were incredibly polite the whole time, saying please and thank you and making it as easy as possible for me to take their order. They even told me they’d tip well .
It was touching to see how well-behaved they were, even without any parents around to remind them. One of the boys even asked his friend to get off his phone while I was talking to them!
They were so good that a customer sitting nearby picked up their bill and told them to pay it forward. I just wanted to give big credit to the parents of these boys—keep up the great work!!
Here’s how they left the table! Even adults (myself included) don’t always leave the table this clean!
